The Grand Canyon Lodge was one of dozens of structures destroyed in a fast-moving wildfire in Arizona over the weekend, the National Park Service confirmed.

PHOENIX — The historic Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim was consumed by a wildfire , Grand Canyon National Park officials said on July 13, as the roaring blazes have prompted evacuations and air quality concerns in the area.

Park officials have closed access for the season to the North Rim, a less popular area of the park that draws only about 10% of the Grand Canyon's millions of annual visitors.
