The state Department of Transportation has upgraded its 511 Wisconsin website and smartphone app to show the live video. Previously, the maps showed still images which updated every few minutes.

Nearly 200 fixed and mobile speed cameras were required to turn off Tuesday after the Iowa DOT deemed them unnecessary.

Officials say the cameras will allow drivers to see the queue approximately one-half mile from the boarding locations in real-time.
