The New York Knicks surprised some around the NBA when they fired head coach Tom Thibodeau after reaching the Eastern Conference Finals, but his replacement had nothing but praise for him on Tuesday.

The New York Knicks have confirmed the hiring of Mike Brown as the team’s new head coach. Brown, a two-time NBA Coach of the Year, replaces Tom Thibodeau, who was fired by the Knicks last month after guiding the franchise to its deepest playoff run in 25 years.

For the Knicks, however, they might be looking for a better option with their last roster spot. Despite that, SB Nation recently linked the two sides to a reunion for the 33-year-old, adding that the Knicks could do much worse than a veteran with this type of experience.
