A 6-year-old boy who was reported missing on Thursday has been found dead, the Pasco Sheriff's Office confirmed Friday.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Two people are out of their home after a storm moved through, whipping up winds strong enough to rip the roof off a condo building.

The parents of the child said he had severe autism and was non-verbal. He was found in a nearby pond in a gated community down the road, the parents said.

New Port Richey officially turns 100 on October 27th, but the celebration begins Saturday with music and fireworks at Simms Park.
