Wimbledon 2025 has had its moments of drama. Aryna Sabaleka, the world's #1 tennis player, helped deliver her share of it when she won a tense match against German Laura Siegemund, Sabalenka said after the July 8 match that she thought she was going to lose after the first set.

Aryna Sabalenka avoided creating another Wimbledon upset with a narrow three-set victory over unseeded Laura Siegemund to book her place in the semi-finals.

The world No. 1 was thrown off by Siegemund's changes in pace and rhythm, but came through in three tight, tense sets.
